TSG Wiki Coming Soon! by TechGuy

Are you a wiki expert, or do you know someone who is?  We’re in the beginning phases of creating a wiki for the Tech Support Guy site.  We hope that information stored in our wiki will become a great reference for regular computer users.  It will include information and tips about using the Tech Support Guy site, including tips on what information to include in your posts, how to use the HJT forum, etc.

The wiki will also include common solutions to computer problems.  This will include basic troubleshooting steps, common questions and answers, and links to related posts and external web sites.  I also hope that the wiki will grow to include definitions of common computer terms (in case you don’t know what HJT is).

To get all of this information together and organized, we’re going to need some very organized people.  It’s my hope that this wiki brings great value to the Tech Support Guy community and that new users can be pointed to it as a great resource for solving their problem.  If you’re interested in helping, especially if you have some wiki experience, please email me at mike@techguy.org or read the thread Wanted: Volunteers with Wiki Experience.

Home Recording Studio by Linuxphile

My brother and a friend have a music project we are calling Cryptoglitch. The music is mostly electronic.  This month I have written about using computer hardware and software to develop a home recording studio.

In the review I cover websites used to publish and promote the band, provided details on the hardware capabilities of the Digidesign MBox 2 Mini, as well as covering features and capabilities of Pro Tools and Reason 4.

Visit the Reviews Thread to read about the tools used to record Cryptoglitch's music.
